STUDENTS of SK Tan Sri P. Ramlee recently got a newly refurbished multipurpose court at the backyard of their school.

The court is 294.24 sq ft in size and will serve five sports which are badminton, volleyball, basketball, netball and sepak takraw.

“This matter was brought to my attention by Hasan ………, the chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) on Sept 16. I promised the school that I would help out provided I had the allocations for it and thankfully I managed to set aside a part of my allocation for this upgrading project,” said Komtar assemblymember Teh Lai Heng at a press conference on Dec 23 in the school to unveil the upgraded court.

The whole upgrading project took five weeks to complete and a total of RM35,000 was allocated for the funding.

“We are grateful and thankful to YB Teh for allocating a part of his constituency funds to fix and upgrade the courts for our children,” said Hasan.

This primary school has some 250 students and it is the only Malay medium national school in the town area.

They are also the proud regional champions in sepak takraw but unfortunately they did not a have a proper court to train on previously.d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);
