THE support for Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) is strong at Seberang Jaya as a huge crowd turned up during the friendly gathering and dinner at Akira Basketball Court this evening.
Showing their love for the coalitions, the crowd happily waved the Malaysia Madani flags after listening to the speeches by Seberang Jaya PH candidate Johari Kassim and Penang PH chairman Chow Kon Yeow.
Chow recollected the early days of his friendship with Johari, back in 2008, when Johari was a reform activist.
“We have been friends since PH administer Penang in 2008.
“I wish him and all our candidates great success as we go full force to engage the rakyat.
“Vote for us on Aug 12,” he told the crowd.
Separately, Chow expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke for their unwavering support in endorsing him as the candidate for Penang Chief Minister if the PH and BN coalitions succeed in forming a unity government in Penang.
Also present were Bukit Tambun PH candidate Goh Choon Aik and caretaker state Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee.
