RATEPAYERS in Seberang Perai have a chance to win 60 cash prizes totaling RM43,888 by paying their 2025 first assessment tax and any outstanding arrears.
Payments can be made online, through appointed collection agencies, or at kiosks.
Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) mayor Datuk Baderul Amin Abdul Hamid announced that all property owners on the mainland are eligible for the lucky draw if payments are made between Dec 1, 2024, and Feb 28, 2025.
The top 15 prizes include RM8,888 for the first-place winner, RM5,000 for second place, RM4,000 for third, RM3,000 for fourth, and RM2,000 for fifth place.
Other prizes include RM1,800, RM1,600, RM1,400, RM1,200, RM1,000, RM900, RM800, RM700, RM600, and RM500 for the remaining positions in the top 15.
Winners from the 16th to 25th place will receive RM400 each, those from 26th to 35th place will get RM300 each, and winners from 36th to 45th place will take home RM200 each. The final set of winners, from 46th to 60th place, will receive RM100 each.
“I encourage all property owners to settle their payments and arrears within the specified period to be eligible for the lucky draw,” Baderul Amin told reporters after a full council meeting at the MBSP headquarters building in Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam today.
