A FAMILY is seeking a public donation of RM15,000 for their bedridden daughter to undergo a leg surgery.
Ng Siew Chew, 58, related that her daughter Lo Lay Khim, 37, formerly a kindergarten teacher, was diagnosed with kidney failure five years ago.
She said her only daughter has been undergoing frequent dialysis treatment at a hospital.
She said Lay Khim had a bad fall a few months ago and she could not walk after undergoing a surgery on her left leg.
Since August, Lay Khim has been bedridden. Now, she has to go under the knife again.
“I am appealing to good Samaritans for contribution as I am the sole breadwinner of the family.
“I need to take care of my cancer-stricken husband too.
“I hope the contribution will come in,” said Ng, who is a hawker selling Jawa Mee when met at her home at the Sun Moon City flat in Paya Terubong today.
Her husband Lo Swee Seng, 57, had been diagnosed with intestine cancer.
Paya Terubong assemblyman Yeoh Soon Hin, who was present, contributed a RM2,000 cheque to the family.
“It is my contribution to at least assist the family in their daily chores. I understand their predicament,” he said.
Kindly contact 0124219941 for any donation to be made.
