TECH Dome Penang, the state’s first and only science discovery centre, launched its fifth edition of the Go Penang 2023 voucher booklet in Komtar here today.
Officially introduced in 2018, the launch is mainly to support Tech Dome’s annual fund, as well as to promote some of Penang’s popular tourist attraction spots.
It is learnt that each booklet consists of 28 pages and will be sold for RM20 per copy, with two complimentary passes to Tech Dome Penang, as well as discounted vouchers to Penang’s leading attraction spots, hotel rooms and food and beverage outlets.
Also, each booklet is worth more than RM400.
State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin was present earlier to officiate the launch.
In his speech, he said that Tech Dome’s vouchers are very flexible and can be used for a variety of purposes, including accommodation, transportation and meals.
“This will allow visitors to tailor their experience according to their budget and preferences.
“These vouchers will surely be a great way for visitors to explore Penang, and I am very excited to see the impact on our tourism industry.
“Besides, I also believe this booklet will serve as a valuable resource for both, first time and repeat tourists, and I hope that it will inspire many people to come and explore Penang and the wonders it can offer,” Yeoh said during his speech at the launching ceremony of the Go Penang 2023 voucher booklet at Tech Dome Penang in Komtar today.
In a related development, Yeoh also thanked all the key tourism players who were present for their support for making Penang one of the most preferred tourist destinations worldwide.
“I would like to also extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the local businesses and organisations that have contributed to the successful launch of the booklet today.
“Without your support, it would not have been possible to create such a comprehensive booklet,” he added.
At the ceremony, a total of 23 partners were unveiled.
They are the Penang 3D Trick Art Museum, Audi Farm, Earthquake and Typhoon Pavilion Penang Hill, Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm, Fort Cornwallis, Ghost Museum, Magic World Penang, Glass Museum Penang, The Habitat Penang Hill, Mission-Q Penang, Penang Bird Park, Project Rock, TeddyVille Museum, Topical Spice Garden, Upside Down Museum, Wonder Food Museum, G Hotel, The Granite Luxury Hotel (formerly known as M Summit 191 Executive Hotel Suites), Iconic Hotel Penang, Lexis Suites Penang, The Light Hotel and JEN Penang George Town by Shangri-La hotel.
