Stay away from negative activities, urges exco man

PARTICIPANTS in a ‘Leadership and Meet the Students 2019 Programme’ have been advised to distance themselves from negative activities.

“It is always my hope that all government agencies involved in a programme like today will raise awareness so that students and the community will not be influenced by negative ills.

“I hope they will learn and understand the programme,” state Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said when he officiated the programme at the Dewan Sri Mutiara, Kompleks Penjara Seberang Perai, on February 21.

About 110 students and teachers from two schools – SMK Mak Mandin and SMK Kg Kastam – took part in the programme.

The students were also given insights on jobs in the uniform services like the Malaysian Prison Department and the Royal Malaysia Police.

Also present were Penang Prison director Assistant Commissioner Roslan Mohamed, Head of Department for Prevention and Community Safety, SAC Datuk Mohamad Anil Shah and Sungai Bakap assemblyman Dr Amar Pritpal Abdullah.
