“We are a small country and we focused more on agriculture and food production.

“But in other fields such as trade, investment and industrialisation, we are not really successful and need to learn more.

“And we notice Penang is really successful in these fields.

“And that is why we want to learn more from Penang and explore the possible collaboration between the two sides.

“At the same time, we can also exchange our agricultural and food production experience with Penang. We are quite successful in these two fields,” Ardasher told Chow.

Chow said the state government warmly welcomed the interest expressed by Tajikistan to have closer collaboration.

“Penang is always open to partnering with Tajikistan in areas such as trade, investment and industrialisation and other fields as well to further benefit the state and people of Penang,” he said.

Also present during the courtesy visit was Tajikistan Embassy Third Secretary Alisher Pustiev.
