RESIDENTS of Taman Pelangi Flat in Perai now have convenient access to recycling facilities, thanks to the newly established recycling centre in the area.
The project represents a successful collaboration between the Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) and Taiko Marketing Sdn Bhd.
Taiko Marketing, as part of this partnership, generously provided four 660-litre four-wheel bin dumpsters, alongside the recycling centre, at a cost of RM7,100.
In addition to these infrastructure improvements, awareness campaigns were conducted for Taman Pelangi Flat residents to promote recycling and waste segregation practices.
During the launch ceremony at Taman Pelangi Flat in Perai yesterday (Oct 28), MBSP council chief whip Zainuddin Mohamed expressed his hopes that these initiatives would inspire the local community to actively engage in recycling, ultimately contributing to a cleaner environment.
The event was attended by Taiko Marketing managing director Muhamad Azizul Zahidin, as well as MBSP councillors Muhammad Fitri Termizi and Rachel Teh Chuann Yien.
Zainuddin also praised the involvement of private companies like Taiko Marketing, emphasising their essential role in encouraging public participation in recycling, aligning with MBSP’s vision of transforming Seberang Perai into a ‘Resilient, Inclusive, Green, Competitive, and Technology-Driven Smart City.’
