Taman Sinar Pelangi apartment receives financial assistance via TPM80PP fund

THE caretaker state government will keep assisting the eligible housing schemes with the various maintenance works to ensure the convenience of the residents, says caretaker state Local Government, Housing, Town and Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo.

 

Jagdeep who visited the Taman Sinar Pelangi apartment today announced that the state government via the Penang Maximum 80% Maintenance Fund (TPM80PP) has approved an allocation of RM247,280 for the maintenance work at the flats.

 

He said the maintenance works include the replacement of a new water tank as well as the replacement of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) Lining for two units of water tanks.

 

“This serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication to assisting Penangites with their housing maintenance needs.

 


“We will continue with the maintenance work projects which we have approved across all the five districts in Penang,” said Jagdeep during a press conference today during his visit to the apartment.

 

The balance, RM61,820 (20%) was borne by Taman Sinar Pelangi Management Committee.

 

Meanwhile, former Sungai Pinang assemblyman Lim Siew Khim, said that to date a total of 43 housing schemes in Sungai Pinang had received assistance from the TPM80PP amounting to more than RM7 million via the Penang Housing Board (LPNPP).

 

“I would like to thank the state government for assisting the housing schemes in the Sungai Pinang neighbourhood which often required various maintenance works,” Lim said.

 

It is learned that, since 2008, the state government had spent some RM344 million for a total of 35,443 maintenance works at various housing schemes.

 

Also present were Jelutong MP RSN Rayer, LPNPP chief operating officer Mohd Fauzy Mohd Yusoff and Taman Sinar Pelangi Management Committee chairman Lee Eng Kok.
