Tanjong MP prioritises welfare of special education and schools

TANJONG MP Lim Hui Ying remains dedicated to enhancing education and development opportunities for students with special needs.

 

Lim emphasised that despite her transition from the Deputy Education Minister’s role to Deputy Finance Minister, advocating the welfare of special education students as well as schools remains one of her priorities.

“I will ensure that each school under the Tanjong parliamentary constituency is equipped with at least one smart board, most probably by June.

 

“If additional installations are deemed necessary, we will definitely accommodate,” Lim said when she attended the Hari Raya celebration and engagement session with the special needs students at SKPK Jalan Hutton on April 22.

Prior to Lim’s speech, state Education Department director Abdul Said Hussain underscored the importance of smart boards in schools.

 

Abdul said smart boards would help keep students abreast of technological developments.

 

He also thanked Lim for her dedication to improving education and school infrastructure.

 

It is learned that Lim has contributed RM41,600 to SKPK Jalan Hutton for the upgrading and maintenance of ‘Taman Nur Kasih, hall, and other facilities.

 

During Lim’s participation in the Hari Raya celebration and engagement sessions with special needs students at SK Tan Sri P. Ramlee, she contributed a total of RM20,000 to the ‘Program Pembangunan Pelajar PPKI’ (Special Education Programme).
