THE Chinese New Year (CNY) vibes are still in the air, as the Tech Dome Penang celebrated the festivity today with students from several schools, namely SJKC Chung Hwa Prai, SJKC Kong Min Caw.2, SJKT Azad, SK St Marks Butterworth, SJKT Tong Sian.
A total of 240 students, apart from being treated to a scrumptious lunch, had the opportunity to make their own pinball machine at the ‘Pinball Science’ workshop held during the celebration.
Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee, who was among the dignitaries present, encouraged the students to venture into the field of science and technology.
“Without curiosity, we cannot move forward as it leads to discovery. And then the discovery leads to inspiration, and inspiration leads to achievement.
“I would like to thank Tech Dome Penang for its hard work and dedication in stirring interest in science and technology among students.
“I hope that Tech Dome Penang will be a science centre that inspires the whole of Malaysia,” Lee said during his speech at the event.
Lee said he also hoped that Tech Dome Penang would come up with more new programmes for the school students.
Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng was also present.
At the celebration, there were also special dance and drum performances by students from the Penang Chinese Girls’ High School.
