EXCO member for Domestic and International Trade, Consumer Affairs and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain who graced the prize giving ceremony of the ‘Konvensyen Tunas Niaga PROTUNe Ke-21′ stated that it is import for us to keep ourselves abreast with the technological advancement as we are entering the era of digital economy.
“This is a good initiative as the interest in the field of entrepreneurship is being instilled at a young age and eventually it (the field of entrepreneurship) will become a culture for them.
“This culture which will then help to mould the students’ characters and will discipline them whilst getting exposed to the values of entrepreneurship. And this is what Penang Development Corporation (PDC) is trying to instill among youngsters in schools.
“We are entering the digital economy era, therefore, if we do not buck up with the latest technology, we will lag behind. Where entrepreneurship is concerned it is important to understand that ‘Technopreneur’ is the future!” Abdul Halim said in his speech at the ceremony held at Vistana Hotel on November 22.
