HOUSEBUYERS, including first-time homebuyers, are welcome to visit the ‘Ekspo Rumah Mampu Milik dan Hartanah Pulau Pinang 2024’.
The two-day home expo is organised by the Penang Housing Board (LPNPP) at the Atrium of Gurney Paragon Mall, starting today (July 20) and continuing tomorrow (July 21).
LPNPP general manager Ainul Fadhilah Samsudi said the objective of the annual event is to promote affordable housing projects priced below RM300,000.
“These prices cater to those from the low-income (B40) as well as middle-income (M40) groups.
“There are also other properties priced above RM300,000, such as prime housing projects and shop lots.
“LPNPP also set up a booth in this expo, where we promote upcoming affordable housing projects that include The Millennia, Permatang Tinggi and Urban Redevelopment City (URC) Mahsuri.
“In total, we have 25 house exhibitors from public and private sectors participating in this expo,” she told reporters after the opening ceremony today.
The opening ceremony was officiated by the Penang Housing and Environment Committee chairman Datuk Seri Sundarajoo Somu.
Ainul also hoped that this home expo would encourage Penangites to learn about various affordable housing projects in Penang under the state government and private sector.
She added that LPNPP has also opened a counter for the public to register and check their affordable housing applications under the LPNPP.
Apart from the house exhibition, Ainul said there are also various activities, including a colouring contest, a lucky draw and more.
