Understanding the concerns of all sectors

IN view of the challenging period of Covid-19, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow strived to stay in touch with the needs of the people and the industries.

He has visited countless corporations, factories, places of worship, associations, non-governmental organisations and others to see how they are coping with the impact of the pandemic.

Together with state executive council members Yeoh Soon Hin and Soon Lip Chee, Chow visited the Penang Golf Club today after receiving an invitation from the club.

The invited guests checked out the facilities such as the Golf Registration Office, the sales and marketing office, Sauce of Soul Cafe, the Sakurajima Japanese and Chinese Restaurant, the driving range and the golf course proper.

Penang Golf Club chief executive officer Datuk Ong Poh Eng conducted short briefings at each of the stops. The entire tour took about 40 minutes.

Chow and the team were also greeted by former Malaysian badminton player and coach Cheah Soon Kit at the club.

After the visit, the entourage was briefed on the operations and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that were imposed by the club to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
