THE country’s largest university enrolment platform, Uni Enrol, will organise a physical roadshow in Penang on March 23 and 24.

Uni Enrol is a technology platform offering an online admission service for students to search for courses from over 100 universities and colleges, with more than 4,000 courses. It also matches students with over 500 scholarships.

Uni Enrol chief executive officer Rickson Khaw said the physical roadshow in Penang will be held on the mainland and island.

Khaw said the physical roadshow in Penang will be held on the mainland and island.

“It will be held at Queensbay Mall, Sunway Carnival Mall and other malls that will be announced soon, most probably in George Town, Butterworth and Nibong Tebal.

“So, I would like to urge all SPM and STPM school-leavers in Penang to come to our roadshow and we will help them to register or enrol through this platform, free of charge.

“Students also can register by themselves by simply going to our official website, https://unienrol.com/ .

“Our enrolment platform also includes an opportunity to study abroad in countries like Australia, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Netherlands and Singapore,” Khaw told a press conference at the Chinese Muslim Cuisine restaurant in Lebuh Leith, George Town yesterday (March 13).

Also present were Penang Youth, Sports and Health Committee chairman Daniel Gooi Zi Sen, state Education Department director Abdul Said Hussain and its deputy director Wan Sajiri Wan Hassan.

Gooi also commended Uni Enrol for its noble initiative, including its free counselling and free enrolment services through the platform.

Gooi also commended Uni Enrol for its noble initiative, including its free counselling and free enrolment services through the platform.

“Uni Enrol is not new in Penang as they have collaborated with us before, matching students with suitable universities, courses and scholarships.

“Hopefully, Uni Enrol will continue to collaborate with the state government for this kind of initiative in the following years to help the school leavers further their studies to tertiary education,” he said.

Gooi also shared that since the platform was launched in 2018, more than RM60 million in scholarships have been awarded to 5,000 students nationwide.

“For Penang alone, RM650,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 48 students in 2022, and RM925,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 84 students last year.

“Thus, we hope many more students in Penang will enrol through the platform this year,” said Gooi.
