UST Global has launched its first ‘Infinity Lab’ and the third delivery centre in Penang; marking a new chapter in the company’s journey in Malaysia and South East Asia.

UST Global Malaysia country head Amar Chhajer said that the Infinity Lab was part of the company’s network of innovation labs which covered various countries around the world.

“The lab that we have here in Penang will focus on problem solving to support business-led digital transformations. It will provide a collaborative environment for our employees, clients and academia.

“Technologists and engineers will have the opportunity to solve critical business problems involving artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), robotic process automation, cybersecurity, big data engineering and many more through this initiative,” Amar said in his speech before taking part in the launching ceremony at Mini-Circuits Technologies in Bayan Lepas today.

“It will help to support the growth of our ‘innovation’ ecosystem in South East Asia.

Also present were UST Global chief executive officer Krishna Sudheendra and UST Global chief operating officer Alexander Varghese.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who graced the ceremony, praised UST Global for its initiative in making Penang as the hub for digital transformation and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for clients in the South East Asia.

“Your growing presence is a strong testament that Penang will remain as an investment location of choice which offers the right environment for Global Business Services (GBS) companies to grow their operations sustainably.

“Penang continues to record robust investments and re-investments from established GBS companies for the past 15 years.

“We also observed that GBS companies in the state continue to expand and upgrade their activities to high valued services within their portfolio.

“I believe that GBS can serve as a catalyst towards a high income and knowledge-based economy for Penang,” Chow said.

UST Global is headquartered in the United States and has more than 23,000 employees across the globe.
